CO 541. Theories and Techniques of Counseling (3)

The principle goals of the course are to examine the major counseling theories, models, and strategies with an emphasis on consultation and counseling techniques from each model and their application to various consultation and counseling situations. Other objectives include counselor characteristics and behaviors that influence the counseling process, a systems approach to conceptualizing clients, and processes for aiding students in developing a personal model of counseling.
