CO 579. Internship in School Counseling

Credits: 6

Students will complete a supervised counseling internship experience in an approved P-12 setting that totals a minimum of 600 clock hours with at least 240 hours of direct client service, with one hour individual or triadic supervision by a qualified supervisor and an average of 1.5 hours per week of group supervision. There is a synchronous requirement for this course. Professional liability insurance is required prior to starting the internship hours. Prerequisites: CO 500 , CO 509 , CO 540 , CO 541 , CO 546, CO 548 , and ED 504. This course can be taken concurrently with CO 546 .
