Program Admission Requirements

Requirements for Unconditional Admission (fully admitted to the MBA program):

Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree with a minimum of 2.75 grade point average (four-point scale) or graduation from an accredited college or university with a master's degree or higher with a minimum of 3.0 grade point average (four-point scale).

-AND -

A minimum score of 475 on the Graduate Management Admissions Test (GMAT).*

Conditional Admission for applicant who do not meet the above criteria:

Applicants who do not meet the GPA and/or GMAT score requirement for full admission might qualify for Conditional Admission. Conditional Admission gives applicants the opportunity to demonstrate an ability to succeed at the graduate level by successfully completing 12 credit hours (4 classes) while maintaining a 3.0 GPA. UWA will re-assess admission at the completion of the first 4 courses.
Requirements to qualify for Conditional Admission:

Conditional admission requires a minimum undergraduate GPA of 2.5 or a minimum graduate GPA of 2.75.

All applicants are allowed take up to 12 credit hours (4 classes) before submitting a GMAT* score. All students who have not submitted a GMAT score are admitted in a conditional status regardless of GPA.

*Applicants who already hold a master's level degree are exempt from any GMAT requirement.

IV. Program Completion Requirements


  • Completion of all courses required in the curriculum with a 3.0 quality point average (overall and in each requirement area).  Any awarding of an F or D grade results in immediate dismissal from the graduate program.  A maximum of two C grades is allowable; however, the awarding of a third C grade results in dismissal from the MBA program.
  • At least 33 semester hours within the required areas.
  • Completion of a Master's Project or six (6) additional hours in emphasis area and a comprehensive examination.
