Program Admission Requirements
To be admitted to this program, the prospective student must meet all requirements for admission to the School of Graduate Studies. Teacher certification is not necessary for this degree program. However, students in this program must concentrate in the same field as their undergraduate major or have earned a minimum of 30 semester hours in the desired field. If a student wishes to change fields, undergraduate course work may be required to complete any deficiencies that may exist in the new discipline. This degree does not qualify a student for any teaching certificate in the State of Alabama. Out-of-state students should check carefully the certification requirements of their respective states.
