Sociology Major: Traditional Track

Degree programs offered by the College of Liberal Arts and its departments share a common core of courses. Students in these programs must complete the Basic Curriculum , and the major curriculum listed below.

SY 200. Foundations of Sociological Inquiry (3)
SY 312. Minority Relations (3)
SY 370. Statistics for the Social Sciences (3)
SY 450. Modern Sociological Theory (3)
SY 460. Methods of Social Research (3)
Approved electives in sociology from the 300 - 400 level (15)

This program must be completed in conjunction with a minor or double major in another field.
