General Information
Mission:
The Mission of the Division of Engineering Technology is aligned with the Mission of the University of West Alabama to provide an opportunity for students to pursue associate and baccalaureate programs in the fields of Computer Engineering Technology (CET), Engineering Technology (ET), Automotive Engineering Technology (AU), and Industrial Maintenance (IM). The Bachelor of Science in Engineering Technology and the Associate of Applied Science in Industrial Maintenance are accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET).
Purposes:
The purpose of each program in the Division of Engineering Technology is designed to provide students with critical thinking skills, competency-based skills, and the knowledge to seek a career in their field of study.
The role of the Division of Engineering Technology in fulfilling the overall purposes of UWA encompasses the following objectives:
