NS 101 . Pharmacology (2)


Provides the study of medications through the introduction of the drug classification system. It provides a theoretical foundation encompassing drug actions, adverse effects, drug/food interactions, age related issues as well as the skill of calculation of dosages. Emphasis is placed on the safe administration of medications in a variety of clinical facilities and situations. Prerequisites: admission to the nursing program and a minimum grade of "C" in     , and 3 hours of fine arts or humanities. Corequisites:   or admission to the athletic training education program.
