MH 100. Basic Algebra
Credits: 3
Developmental course required for students who lack adequate proficiency in basic skills of algebra. Students that need additional work in algebra before taking MH 101 , Intermediate Algebra are assigned to MH 100 on the basis of standardized test scores or placement test scores. Students assigned to MH 100 must make a "C" or higher before registering for any other mathematics course. Topics covered are real numbers, variable expressions, solving equations, polynomials, factoring, rational expressions, linear equations, and inequalities. Prerequisites: 14 on ACT math subscore or appropriate placement score.
