MS 434. Dolphins and Whales

This class will be an introduction to the biology of cetaceans (toothed and baleen whales). Topics covered will include evolution, taxonomy, anatomy, physiology, genetics, behavior, and conservation related to specifies within this Order. Lab exercises will introduce current methods used in cetacean research. Prerequisites: general biology.
