The Industrial Maintenance degree mission is to develop critical thinking skills and knowledge of technologies to prepare students for employment in areas of industry, business, governmental or service agencies. The degree offers to interested students a two-year Associate of Applied Science Degree. The program is student-centered, career-oriented, and designed to provide skills and knowledge necessary to meet the general maintenance demands of business, industry, and governmental agencies. In addition, the Industrial Maintenance graduate will qualify for admission to other technology majors. Successful completion of the curriculum will provide a background in liberal arts, mathematics, and technology, with skills in the use of machines, tools, and computers, including but not limited to knowledge of industrial design materials, and processes.
The Applied Science degree in Industrial Maintenance is accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET).
Note: Students who complete the AAS in Industrial Maintenance degree with the Electrical option may pursue the BS in Engineering Technology or the BS in Technology degree. Students who complete the degree with the Welding option may only pursue the BS in Technology degree.
