II. Humanities and Fine Arts: 12 hours

III. Natural Sciences and Mathematics: 11 hours

BY 101. Introductory Biology I Credits: 4
OR
BY 103. Honors Biology Credits: 4
AND
BY 212. General Botany Credits: 4 required for General Science Teacher Certification as part of the basic curriculum
MH 114. Precalculus Trigonometry Credits: 3 or higher math

IV. History, Social, and Behavioral Sciences: 12 hours

A. Six semester hours from one of the following sequences:

HY 101. History of Western Civilization I Credits: 3
HY 102. History of Western Civilization II Credits: 3
OR
