General Science Major: Teacher Certification

The General Science major will typically be paired with courses in professional education to provide the graduate with teacher certification in general science.  This major may also be paired with another minor.  However, students doing so should be aware that additional credit at the 300 - 400 level may be required in order to satisfy the University requirement that 1/3 of all coursework be at the upper level.  For information on admission to the Educator Preparation Program eligibility, please consult the Education Preparation Program section in the Catalogue under the Julia S. Degree programs within the College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics share a common core of courses. Students in these programs must complete the Basic Curriculum , the appropriate core curriculum for their major as listed below and the major curriculum.
