Interdisciplinary Arts Comprehensive Major

Degree programs offered by the College of Liberal Arts and its departments share a common core of courses. Students in these programs must complete the Basic Curriculum , and the major curriculum listed below.

Major Requirements: 54 hours
Majors complete all coursework in two areas of concentration and at least twelve hours of approved coursework in a third area as listed below. In addition to the coursework listed below, the student must complete AT 100 , MU 100 , and TH 100 . Those students enrolled in the Honors Program may substitute their HR 100 and HR 200 for the introductory course that is not within one of their two major area concentrations. Major Area Concentration: Music 21 hours

- In addition to meeting the course requirements, a student choosing music as a primary category in the IA major is required to participate in at least one musical organization each semester, to participate in student recitals as stipulated by the music faculty, and to attend student and faculty recitals and University-sponsored music programs while in residence.
Major Area Concentration: Theatre 21 hours
Choose three credit hours from the following:
Minor Area Concentrations
Art Concentration: 12 hours
Music Concentration: 12 hours
Two of the following: 6 hours
Theatre Concentration: 12 hours
One of the following: 3 hours
