Electronic Communications Policy

In their use of the internet, whether in emails or otherwise, students are subject to all local, state, and federal laws regarding on-line behavior.
In electronic communication with faculty or staff, students should:
- Use an appropriate salutation and maintain a courteous and respectful tone throughout.
- Use an email address appropriate for communicating about University business.
- Avoid using images or language that can reasonable be seen as disrespectful or threatening.
In electronic communication with other students, students should?

The Code of Student Conduct may be applied to behavior conducted online, via email, or other electronic medium. Students should also be aware that online postings such as blogs, web postings, chats, and social networking sites are in the public sphere and are not private.
